Hello Lovely Readers, One of our delightful brides posed a question to me last week that I thought I would share. She asked, "Do I have to send 'Save the Dates?'". The simple, one-word answer is NO. No one must send Save the Dates. However, there are certainly instances where you should.
1. Are you having an out-of-town wedding? Send that Save the Date! If your guests have to make special travel arrangements, or if you're having a destination wedding, the Save the Date will give your guests more time to prepare for scheduling and cost.
2. Is your wedding on a holiday weekend? Send that Save the Date! Often, guests may book holiday plans well in advance. Without that early notice, you might miss some of your friends and family on your big day.
3. Are other friends and/or family getting married near the time of your wedding? Send that Save the Date! Again, budget is a frequent concern for guests...especially when they know a lot of people getting married in the same year. You wouldn't want to miss a special guest because they prioritized another celebration.
Now, even if you don't fall into one of the groups that really should send a Save the Date, it still might be a great idea for you. Save the Dates can be a fun, creative, and relatively low cost way to get your loved ones excited for your wedding. Here at PLAN Events and Design, we can help you set the mood by designing custom Save the Dates for you! Maybe you'd like to include a photo. We can do that. Perhaps you'd like something a bit more "out of the box". Hannah designed a beautiful Save the Date card with a printed vintage handkerchief that was a huge hit with all who received it.
It does seem that everyone is sending Save the Dates now. We can help you to not only realize your vision, but set you apart from the crowd.
